Go VOLS!

I went to my first football game last Saturday even though the rain came down it was an experience not to missed! I have never seen so much orange in all my life and I was astounded by the bands moves n the amount of times Ole' Rocky Top was played! I defo's know it now! It's safe to day we thrashed Georgia 51-13 but the tensions building for tomorrow's game where we are playing our rivals the Gators from Florida! Some people say they're better than us so no one really knows whether the VOL spirit and intense training we have undergone this summer will prove enough to triumph. Exciting!

Madonna Love

My love for Madonna reignited the other night when thinking of my favourite songs about America. It reminded me of dancing around in my glittery Cowboy hat age 8 to American Life. Then this turned into a Madonna fest, youtubing all her songs Georgia (my flatmate) and I were dancing around like maniacs to Frozen then all the other old school tunes like Papa don't preach. Oh what studying at an American university turns you into ha. A x

Brit in Knoxville

Arrived at UTK two weeks or soish ago now and am settling in. I've been on some cool trips with the International House, started my classes and met some lovely people from all over the world! My flat is beginning to feel like home, I picked up a cutes lil' embroidery from the Goodwill. The American lingo is interesting to say the least. No longer are chips the perfect accompaniment to fish but those things that  you find in a bag which in England we call crisps. The bin's now the trash can n the toilet the rest room. Next weekend is the first home football game I cannot wait to go to my first match n the campus become a sea of orange A x
